How to Download a Ringtone to a Motorola V-400

Here are the steps to downloading a new polyphonic ringtone to a Motorola V400.

1. Purchase ringtone on your favorite ringtone site.
2. You will receive a browser message in your message center.
3. Read the browser message.
4. You will then be given an option of "Go To" which will give you wireless internet access.
5. The name of the song will come up. Press select.
6. The ringtone will load on your Motorola cell phone.
7. Press "Store."
8. Press "Store Only" in your Store Options.
9. Save the message by hitting "OK."

Now, to make the ringtone ring when your cell phone rings:

10. Press the top center button on your keypad. This is the one with three lines on it.
11. Press up once and to the left once and you arrive at the Multimedia icon. Press "select."
12. The phone will now go to "Sounds." Press "Select."
13. You will now see a list of ringtones that you have on the phone. Page down to the ringtone of your choice.
14. Press the top center button on your phone again as you did in instruction #10.
15. Page down to "Apply as Ring Tone" and Select it.
