Music Artists Coalition – Against Suing Fans and Digital Locks
A number of Canadian Music Creators have formed a coalition that is focused on voicing their goals to reform copyright laws. When major record labels sue music fans on the basis of piracy, they sometimes do so against the artist’s will. These labels also make it impossible to transfer the music into different formats with digital locks.
The Canadian Music Creators Coalition (CMCC) is against the above. CMCC states that government should repeal parts of the Copyright Act to allow music fans to share music and transfer music to different formats for non-commercial purposes.
This is good new for us ringtones fans as one would be able to obtain favorite artists ringtones with ease. Keep posted with the latest CMCC updates at http://www.musiccreators.ca/ .
